Author Biography

Carlos Natálio, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL) - Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas (FCSH) - Centro de Estudos Comunicação e Linguagens (CECL), 1069-061 Lisboa.

Graduated in law (Lisbon Law University) and also in cinema (ESTC- Portuguese Conservatory). Has a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences - Contemporary Culture and New Technologies (FCSH) with the thesis: “Contemporary cinema: a fictional category?” At the moment he is doing a phd on "Cinema and individuation" at Universidade Nova under the direction of Maria Teresa Cruz and the French philosopher Bernard Stiegler. He mantains since 2009, "Ordet",  his personal weblog about cinema and contemporary culture. He was also the fonder of the portuguese filme website "À pala de Walsh". His research interests are: film studies, media theory and philosophy of technics.
